The Healthy Heart Garden

The objective of the garden is to promote a healthier lifestyle by active participation, helping to rehabilitate people and maintain an independent life.

As an extension to the garden, we plan to develop a wildlife and woodland corner to provide a quiet and tranquil space for all centre users.

The Community Payback Unit has been and continues to be invaluable to the Healthy Heart Garden.

The gardening group is supported by Centre staff and a group of hard-working volunteers.

The group aim to enable people with an interest in gardening to take part in a range of activities from growing vegetables and plants from seed to harvesting the produce.

Group members also tend the vegetable crops, decorative borders and the sensory garden within the DRC.
